- The followers need to be convinced that this expertise is valuable to them.
- A leader high in expert power is seen as having the expertise to facilitate the work of others.
- The respect of this expertise leads to compliance with the leader`s wishes.
- For instance, in matters of financial management, an accountant has more expert power than a medical doctor.
